Megan O’Hara is a well-known exhibiting artist based in Adelaide, with her work held in collections both nationally and internationally. Since graduating from the Adelaide Centre for the Arts in 2003—where she was honoured as the inaugural recipient of the Minter Ellison Emerging Artist Award—Megan has presented a number of highly regarded solo exhibitions and received several notable commissions.

In 2004, she gained national recognition as the winner of the prestigious Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize in the painting category.

Alongside her art practice, Megan works part-time as a secondary school Visual Art and Media teacher. Her creative work is deeply inspired by the natural world, drawing influence from science, colour, shape, line, and form. One of her greatest passions is spending time in nature, where she finds joy and inspiration through sketching and painting outdoors.
